The Alhambra Community Health Fair

Categories: Events

The Asian Pacific Health Corps (APHC) from the University of California, Los Angeles will be sponsoring its first annual Community Health Fair at Los Angeles Chinese Alliance Church on Saturday, April 26, from 9am to 1pm.

At the health fair, student volunteers from APHC will offer free preventative screenings for blood pressure and body mass index. In addition to these screenings, they will also be collaborating with other service providers, including Western University, the UCLA School of Dentistry, and the AHMC Health Foundation to offer glucose, cholesterol, dental, stroke, and orthopedic screenings. Various community organizations will provide valuable information and resources about other health and community issues. Physicians will also be on-site to provide direct counseling on personal health issues and referrals if necessary. There will also be a children’s area with various arts and crafts activities.

The Alhambra Community Health Fair is entirely FREE and open to EVERYONE (no insurance or proof of documentation is required).
